Finding home - Why it's not in a place, but in you
Humanity has always been on the move. For thousands of years, people have been moving from place to place in search of a better life, crossing borders and following new opportunities. However, while migrations were often triggered by wars, famine or climate change in the past, the picture has changed in recent years.
It is no longer just war refugees or young adventurous travelers who leave their homeland. More and more people who have actually built up a solid and comfortable base in their home country - with a career, house, car, circle of friends and everything else that goes with it - are deciding to make a fresh start in another country. They are prepared to leave their comfort zone and give up everything they have always held dear. Why? Because they sense that there is something else. A deep call for freedom, for more meaning, for a new way of living.
You too have made a fresh start and chosen Paraguay as your new home. You packed your bags, left your old life behind - the familiar streets, your favorite café on the corner, the spontaneous visits to friends - and bought a one-way ticket to Paraguay. You probably felt the same way I did and were full of anticipation for the new, but at the same time with a big lump in your throat. Saying goodbye is rarely easy, especially when we leave loved ones behind. But you decided to embark on a new adventure and look ahead.
And then you were in Paraguay. The first immersion in the new world was exciting - the warm climate, the relaxed people, the feeling of freedom. The first few weeks were a mixture of amazement and challenge. You learned that the supermarket is suddenly called "Despensa" and is open 24/7, that time is a very flexible concept here and that a motorcycle can transport an entire family including a dog.
I can also still remember experiencing the dusty sandy roads and the sudden, violent thunderstorms with power cuts as an exciting thrill and finding the cries of the Ferrari frogs romantic. And maybe, like me, you picked a mango straight from the tree for the first time in your life or laughed at your attempt to hold a conversation in Spanish. If you were as ill-prepared as I was, then you probably used more sign language in your conversation than any Spanish vocabulary. Life in Paraguay has its own rhythm and you explored it with curiosity.
But after this initial euphoria, something happened that many emigrants are familiar with: The enthusiasm gave way to a quiet restlessness.
When the initial euphoria fades...
The new was no longer just exciting, but also exhausting. Suddenly you realize that you miss the familiar structures: the way things just work. The naturalness with which you used to meet friends. The deep familiarity that only grows with time.
Perhaps you too have asked yourself why you don't really feel like you've arrived. Or whether you will ever have that feeling of home here. And at some point, doubt set in: Was it the right decision?
Some begin to look for something else during this phase - a new place that feels more like home. Others toy with the idea of going back. But what if the solution is not on the outside?
Home begins within yourself
What if home is not to be found in a place, but within yourself?
If you really know yourself - your needs, your strengths, your desires - and trust your inner compass, then you don't need a fixed place to feel rooted. You are then at home within yourself.
Because let's be honest: A new country can give you a lot - adventure, opportunities, new perspectives. But it can't give you a sense of belonging, which is the basis for a sense of home. You have to create that for yourself.
I had my first learning experiences on this subject as a child. We moved so often that I never really had a chance to put down roots anywhere. I then got to know myself a lot more deeply on my many trips after leaving school. I gained so much knowledge about myself that I no longer felt like I was jumping into the unknown when I emigrated three times. I knew exactly what I needed to feel good inside and what I had to do to achieve this. I had found my inner home - and it is always with me, no matter where I end up.
Self-knowledge is therefore the key to finding home within yourself, because it leads you to your innermost core - to where you feel safe, understood and loved, without any masks or expectations. When you know, what makes you tick, what drives you and why you are here in this world,- so when you realize who you really are, you feel that you no longer need to look for a place or a person to support you. This feeling of having arrived arises within YOU. It is as if, after a long journey through insecurities and doubts, you are finally embracing yourself and saying: Here I am. And that feels good.
Your human design as the key to your inner home
So I traveled the world in search of a new home, which I finally found in myself. Don't worry, you don't have to do that. I now know a good shortcut to understanding yourself in depth - it's the Human Design System. Based on your birth data, your Blueprint is determined and your genetic codes are visually represented in a Human Design Chart.
Every person has a unique energetic signature - an inner map that shows how best to navigate through life. Your Human Design is exactly that: a kind of "instruction manual" for your soul.
- Why do you often feel torn between old structures and new opportunities?
- What is the best way to make decisions that are good for you and fulfill you?
- What strategy helps you to magnetically attract the right people and opportunities into your life?

Human Design answers these questions for you. And when you know these answers, you no longer need a place to feel at home - you will find it within yourself.
If you are now curious and want to make it easier for yourself, then let's decode your human design together. I'll show you how to discover your true self and feel at home anywhere in the world.
